Chongqing Western Logistics Park [also called Chongqing Logistics City(CLC)]is approved to be built by the municipal government at the 40th Mayor’s Office Meeting in September 2007. It is an inland bonded logistics park built on the basis of Central Railway Container Terminal in Tuanjie Village and the large-scale Xinglongchang train marshalling yard to serve as a comprehensive logistics park for the inland port. It is the departure station of Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway, the railway logistics base among Three Bases and Three Ports approved by the National Development and Reform Commission to be built in Chongqing and one of the first key logistics parks at municipal level. In 2014, it was named the outstanding logistics parks in China. Chongqing Western Logistics Park is located in the urban function extension area — H, X, I, J, G, Af, Ah standard sub-zones in Xiyong Town. The park is planned to cover an area of 35.5 square kilometers with the total investment of CNY 111.7 billion.
The logistics park is aimed to build into an international railway port in inland China and a new modern trade & logistics city in Western China. It adheres to the principle of coordinated development of the industries and the city, integrated development of the park and the city. The park is built and developed in the mode of “Overall planning, step-by-step implementing, and market-running”. With the completion of the construction, a modern commercial and trade logistics new city with a population of about 300,000 will be presented, with an annual output value of CNY 300 billion, a GDP of CNY 80 billion, a tax revenue of CNY 10 billion. It will become an open and innovative base for industrial and urban development with high-end logistics, headquarters, and also an eco-friendly city, suitable for living and working.
